    Microsoft, please fix your software!

I know what you mean. I also like how Outlook Express allows you to download from multiple pop3 accounts under the same login, but it does suck in that it doesn't have a message export utility (except to other MS products  )

WinXP tip of the day #7

I think it just doesn't group them when your resolution is high enough. I've had enough windows open to have 4 different columns of buttons on my task bar (to get a good idea of how wide it is, 6 quicklaunch icons fit on one row) and it never grouped them.

Now that I use Win2k, I don't need to install this java virtual machine :D

    Virtual PC

Emulation often causes the system to lose half its speed making software emulators link to the actual hardware.

Gates confirms Windows Longhorn for 2003, Blackcomb MIA?

Let's all just use Linux. That way we wouldn't have to put up with Microsoft's BS anymore

    XP: Upgrade Facts And Fictions

An oddity that I noticed was that every time I would dial in on XP, the connection would be unusable, as it was sending and receiving about 10-20k of data for the first few seconds. Microsoft X-sPyware?

    office assistant/ office 2000

That's rather ironic that the paper clip is always there, annoying the hell out of you when you DON'T need it and on the rare occasion that it IS needed, it doesn't want to talk to you.

    Animation

Just giving this thread a nice bumpaw00t... I already responded that Id software is using Maya for animation in their new doom game in this thread, if that means anything to you.

'Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds' (PC) Review

I haven't played AOE II at all, and I don't really think I'm a Star Wars fan to the extent that I will buy anything that has its name on it. Games that are based on movie franchises don't usually turn out well. Granted, there are exceptions.

    Delirium

You get a crapload more points if you get more kills than shots. The best way to kill more than one enemy per shot is to use the laser when there is a line of things coming at you, one right behind the other, or to use the bomb when they are scattered about. This will really rack up your points...

AOL = the next 800lb Gorilla?

.722 is still working... won't last long, methinks... I wonder if AOL has any legal pull in case they try to take this to the courts? I'd imagine the courts won't do anything since both AIM and Trillian are free software...

Where do you get DirectX help???

Could it be that, coincidentally, your video card may have broken at the same time as everything stopped working?

Who says going to college has to suck?

Actually, I might have to see if something like that is available at Ivy Tech and/or IU/PU/IUPUI... sounds like it could be interesting!
