    Win-XP kills Verizon DSL

:eek2: I'll be sure and stay away from XP when I get DSL then. Is 2k also affected by this?

tell Windows XP to shut up

 Speech recognition, just another coverup. Windows XP is actually possessed, MS just doesn't wanna admit it. :smash:

Need higher FPS with my GF4 MX440 64MB DDR...

The Unreal engine has always been optimized for 3dfx cards. My old overclocked Voodoo3 2000 PCI damn near outperformed my overclocked Geforce2 GTS 64mb in lower resolutions. However, 55-60 is quite a low frame rate, even for a non-3dfx card. Do you have V-sync enabled? That could be the cause...

    Sanctions would ruin Windows

98lite either works great or doesn't work at all. Kind of a hit and miss thing; if it works, you're gonna have a snappy OS that's light on memory and on CPU usage. If it doesn't, format and try again. Personally, I've had more success than failure when using 98lite either on a 98 or...

    Linux flaw discovered

Like the article said, the flaw is in the zlib compression library, not just with Linux. Programs that make use of this library are vulnerable. So basically every non MS OS is vulnerable, since most if not all of them in some way use it.

    Sanctions would ruin Windows

Explorer can run without the MS HTML engine. 98lite proved that. What if people don't want a browser on their system at all? Pretty much unless they use 98lite combined with one of the Windows' from the 9x kernel, they're shit out of luck.

    Defragmenting a 160Gig HD...

My 60 gig doesn't take long at all to defrag, but that's just because I never have enough files on it to take up that much space. What makes defrags take a long time is filling up the drive and then cleaning it out, then filling it up again and cleaning it out again... all the files shifting...

    Ok, Where is everybody?

The chat only accelerated the death. One of the main factors is the lack of original content. Original, and outstanding... Anyone remember that guy who fried an egg on an Athlon XP, using a heatsink made out of copper coins? That thread got linked to from all over the hardware world. HardOCP...

    9/11 on CBS

There were no commercials in the whole thing, I don't think. At least nobody got their deep pockets filled because of it. I flipped over to it while watching Firestarter and never flipped back. Now I'm depressed and stuff :cry2:

There's a new theme in the works, called Ice Cool. (<a href="usercp.php?s=">user cp</a> \ <a href="member.php?s=&action=editoptions">options</a> \ Style Set) I've been working on it for about a week or so, customizing all the buttons and changing the layout so that it looks unique. (As of...
