I just re-tested my DSL, this time at 3:50 a.m. instead of 5-something p.m., and got the exact same numbers. I'd say I have a pretty consistent connection.

Mine's 1.2 megabits per second. It's SBC/Yahoo DSL in California. 1MB file downloaded in 6.8 seconds. Not too bad for $26.95 a month, I reckon.

This one. It's $15 cheaper now than when I got it, in December. There are a couple of higher-end 6800 chipsets, I guess.

The reason I got the base 6800 is because it was close to, if not the, best AGP card I could find at Newegg.

I, meanwhile, am still kinda questioning myself for spending $270 on a video card when I don't play very many games.

...although I'd venture to guess my entire system, including a single GeForce 6800 with 128MB, cost less than that card.

I think it would fit into my case OK. Not much room to spare, but I think it would fit fine.
