    Has to be the cd-r, any 700-750mb cd won't be capable of more than say 10-20mb more, the software can't go above the cd-r capability, overburning just uses that 'extra space' if available. Theres 800 and 900MB cds, but your burner has to be capable of reading the added sectors and overburning...

    Btw, i don't know how it'll be much faster on a daily basis, as the big increases is when editing or using large files.

    less seek time = faster performance as the data is stored in segments between the 2 drives, hence the head dosen't move as much, the data is spread out over two drives and can therefore be accessed much faster than a single drive is able to. Drawback is when one goes it all goes.
