Have installed the complete mobo cd and still nothing. What am I missing? It is an Abit mobo that has been flashed bios wise and is running a PIII 1gig and that is why the problems with the sound card.

Well now to reinstall the other os after I get all of my important things on FIRST! I'm learning and learning every day it seems.:)

What is burning me now is that I cannot access a certain file from my copy of windows so I am having to uninstall that version so I can use my disk.:( Thnx for that info Huge! She makes me smile when I see here as well so thnx for that avatar.:)

OK I was having so much fun not being able to get 2000 pro on this I sid the heck with it and merged the partitions back into one thinking I might try at a different date but I still have when I start up a preference of which oS I want to use.Microsoft windows or 2000 pro. How do I get it back...

Well I can get it to dual boot now and all is fine "except" I get this now? "Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt. Please reinstall a copy of . <Windows 2000 Root>\System 32\ ntoskrnl.exe OK I have it on my small box as i mentioned so what now...

OK this is a new area for me so I would like to keep my 98se and split my 20GB drive in two and have 2000 Pro on the other. HOW? I have partition Majic 7.0 to work with but how do I make a dual boot where it asks which drive it wants me to start with each time etc?

LOL you hit it as I finally figured it out but mine had to be set at the 100 as this mobo was flashed and is an Abit BE6 II and I'm on it now and it's fine. Who reads directions or manuals? I do now lol thnx!

I thought I knew what I was doing when I went into my bios and tried to reset it so it would read auto but now all I get is a blank screed rather a black screen and nothing? How do I reverse this/ I tried the old trick of unplugging it and hope that works but I need to get back into the bios...

SAD is all I can say and hope she buys stock in EverReady or Duracell for the vibrator she will be using for a longgggg time yet to cum!
