I am using icq again

I have icq installed and my number is 125318148. If anyone wants to chat with me I'm online quite a bit. I know everyone seems enchanted by the irc chatroom, but I like icq.

I have twenty-some people in my contact list and find only 2 or 3 online when I run icq. Do people really dislike it that much?

other than it being kinda slow, I don't mind it too much.

At my height of ICQ usage, I had about 180 people on my contact list, and about 5-10 were on at any given moment in time. Those 5-10 were usually from the same group of about 20 people that still came online every once in a while.

It didn't seem like people were too enthusaistic about using icq, so I haven't been loading it too much lately. I did have a couple of nice chats with nalani that I enjoyed.

I always have ICQ on when I'm online. I like ICQ's concept better, I'm comfortable with it, and it's nice being able to send several files at once, instead of one at a time. The ICQ spam does get a little annoying, but on the other hand it gives me good topic starters on bulletin boards.
