OK I just was given an "old" but good laptop with the old version of windows in it and I am stumped when it comes in the dos mode and C:\> what should I type in next? windows does not work?

It is a NEC Ultralite Versa if that helps and it says version 2.1. I know but I cannot afford the real thing so this will have to do.

Old version? Win 3.1? Win 95? Did you try typing 'win'? Can you give a directory listing (dir)?

I typed in win and thnx.3.1

But what ... is it good for?

I wanted one and maybe now after this I will get one.
