the clock is not losing time...but I did wake up this morning to find my screen frozen when i went to check on my dvd-rip downloads from morpheus. thats not a big deal right now.

Oh, ok. The clock on mine was losing time, and then the errors started and all that. I think my clock generator chip went postal on me.

I had an old socket 5 board (For a P100) that used to do that, until I replaced the CMOS battery.

it was kind of annoying because without the time going, no popup menus popped up unless I clicked on them, and the clock in the system tray didn't update unless I moved the mouse around for a while...

My computer would also forget the time and date when it was off. So I thought it was the battery. I replaced the battery... and I could instantly tell that wasn't it because it gave me a few more messages when I started up... oh, and the next time I tried to boot it forgot the date and time again. Plus, I still had the blue screens on boot of Windows.

Getting a new board and T-Bird 1.2 fixed it.
