I didn't post to say "I don't know" because I didn't see how that would help. I've never used a VAIO laptop. Did you have any luck on this at any of the other 20 boards you said you posted this at?

If my instructions are followed, it will automatically show threads from however long you want, every time... instead of having to do it manually each time.

Go to the User CP, and then click the "edit options" link on the left. Scroll down to "thread display options." Chances are it will look something like the attached image. Change the "default age cut off" drop-down list to "use forum default" and you should be set.

Kinda similar to when I drive one of my parents' cars, when I reach between the seats to let off the E-brake... and then remember I have to pull a handle under the dashboard. Or after I've been driving that '62 Fairlane for a while, my foot keeps pounding the floor looking for the headlight...

It also depends on driving conditions. For example, how often do you check the air pressure? How often do you peel out? Is your car kept in proper alignment?
