Need Help making A WAN network

hi, Livin, don't get me wrong, but i suggest you get some pros to do this job, i'm not getting at you, but you need some fundemental knowledge of networking thats a mite past that of a hobbyist networker to setup something like what you are describing.

    Athlon Temps not being overclocked...??

yup, thermal grease once used properly is tons better than pads, use as little as possible as a general rule, you want a thin layer on the core, thats all. up to round 55C - 60C loaded is acceptable, but would like to keep it in the 40's if possible

buildin a com for first time need input and amd or intel??

in this situation, where you have the choice of 2 1600Mhz processors, and do not want to overclock, definetly get the Athlon XP :)

Look at what Intel is handing out about AMD

not really, the 1.6A can do some whopin speeds that an XP can never beat ;) some XP's are not cheaper than 1.6A's here, if you're overclockin, the 1.6A is the right route, if not, XP then :) That argument might have been right a few months ago, but since the Northwood, Intel is leapin away...
