Swapped hard drives and the BIOS whined about it. Forgot to redetect the new drive. Go to enter the BIOS and it resets itself. No biggie. I'll just reset the settings. So I go through the BIOS setup and reconfigure everything. I forgot to set the time/date though. Boot into Linux and realize then what I forgot to do. But the real wierd thing was it set the date to Sept 11, 2001. Spooky.

Is this for a customer? Where was that drive before you swapped it out? In any event, I say get rid of the damn thing.:eek2:

It was my winders drive. I had to print a document that was in.pdf format so I booted to that. The BIOS got reset because I mistakenly tapped the F2 key instead of the F1 key to enter the BIOS. It reset since the configuration wasen't correct which is what it's supposed to do. But to reset to that date was really odd.
