im running a t-bird 1.2 on a a7v 133.
Is it really worth the money to go to the 166 version of each?
I am thinking of trading off my current setup, but the 166 is the only thing to go to unless i go to a P4 or something. Im not sure i want to do the intel thing yet...

If you're talking about 266, then you will likely only have to get different ram (if I'm not mistaken, the A7V133 uses regular SDRAM) because DDR-SDRAM boards take different ram sticks, but the same of everything else.

The bandwidth increase from DDR-SDRAM is somewhat noticeable, but not absolutely ground breaking when compared to a good SDRAM setup. I don't think you'd be disappointed, but at the same time I don't think you'd be thrilled either

Should be a huge diff in mem bandwitdh from PC100 SDram to PC2100 DDR.

Course if you aren't max'in out your current setup, you'll hardly notice the diff.
