My brother got a 1 gig celeron the other day to replace his 566 celeron(@850).<----- It died:)
still using his old Abit BX6-2 Mobo, he slapped the new chip in and fired it up...no problem.
so we were wondering how far this thing would go.. we cranked it up to 124X10 for 1240MHz:D Voltage @ 1.95V and using the stock HSF!!!!
well.. the celeron still is a very good overclocker , and priced right too.

You know the deal ,you have to push it till it fails to boot winblows........ie 133x10 and 140x10.

My guess around 1400 it will top out.

The 1.2 cellys are hitting 1600 on aircool no prob.

That's because the 1.2 Celeron is one of the first of a new batch of Celery based on the Tualatin core :o

If that 1 gig celeron is still a Celemine, I wouldn't recommend trying to push it much higher, bad things can happen

Go for it if it's a Celeron/Tualatin though :D

Nope.. it is a celermine .18.. not the tul.13
And it might go higher, but he needs STABLE more than max MHz. for his music recording and mixing.. but still, not a bad overclock for a chip that is so close to it's top end:)

Yup, that is a damn good overclock. How fast is the fan on that stock HSF?
