Excite@home filed bankruptcy & is selling it's broadband to AT&T for $307M. There should be no interuptions for any of the 3.7million subscribers. AT&T had a controlling interst in excite@home since 1999, with it's purchase of TCI, but it will now fully own it, unless a better offer comes along.

I'm using this service right now...actually my mom is and I'm using her service. We got a place and move in this week, but Verizon says that it willb e 21-28 days before DSL can be activated. Horseshit.

They would never eliminate the service...the income is over 14M a month. They might try to jam everybody up with a huge rate increase, but they won't kill our cable.

I would pay maybe an extra $10/month. I'm paying $35CND/month($24US) now.
I don't want to have go around and change my e-mail addy again.

Holy Crap! I pay US$44.95 per month for mine! Hey Posty I had to go through, not one, but two, T1 installations by Verizon. Painful at best. The warranty was half gone on our equipment before the T's were in.

You should be honored Gonzo. I posted #400 here in Thriller! :spin:
