    Opteron - your opinions

IBM's support was expected, though, given what those two have been doing on the collaboration side. What's really going to break this loose will be: 1) really good Opteron sales numbers on the next quarterly report, or 2) an announcement by an HP or (dare I hope it) Dell that they're...

    Opteron - your opinions

Interesting stuff. I wonder how well it wil compare to a released chip version. Apparently, I'm not the only one: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=9046 Prof, I haven't seen one in release. Buttload of reference boards, though: http://www.amdboard.com/k8boards.html

    Opteron - your opinions

Possibly. If Opteron is the hit I suspect it will be, that would boomerang on Redmond. Besides, if total crap coming form MS spelled doom for the industry, there wouldn't BE a computer industry. :D http://www.microsoft-watch.com/article2/0,4248,1013113,00.asp Mid 2003 for full support.

    Opteron - your opinions

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_4699_7981,00.html Sorry. My personal feeling is that they're going to take a short term dive as the traditionally stuffed-shirt server market refuses to ditch Intel chips. In September, when the desktop version comes out...

    Opteron - your opinions

A lot of folks think that the Opteron (AMD's 64 bit CPU with backwards compantibility) is the future for AMD. A lot more think that Intel's marketing power will kill the chip, and AMD along with it. What's your take on it?

Wow. UPS has a new look.

That's why I see it as so much PR bullshit. The shield was always part of their logo, but now it's the whole thing. The actual parcel is no more.

Wow. UPS has a new look.

Yeah, they changed it Friday. Got rid of the parcel and concetrated on the shield. Sounds like typical PR bullshit to me.

My friend scared the hell out of me...

There are some pretty darn good methods for handling stress out there these days. Physical activity is one of them, but a whole lot of it is mindset. Has she considered seeing a mental health professional?
